Located in Southern Philippines, Marawi has repeatedly resisted colonial rule since the Spanish Occupation in the 1500s to American Occupation in the late 1800s. Babai Women’s Network is a diverse group of artists, writers, and food activists who initiated a series of fundraising events for the internally displaced people of Marawi City.
