Carolyne Lima is a mental health worker from Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) whose work focuses on refugees based in Nauru Island. According to her, the mental condition of refugees trapped in detention centers in Nauru is very appalling that they eventually develop depression. As there are children in these centers, they also experience stress and other symptoms of mental illnesses. There have been reports of multiple suicide attempts, including that of child of seven years.
