The 15-minute film tells the story of a widowed Papuan mother who had to support her children by selling bread, vegetables, and sweet potatoes, as the pension money she used to receive was insufficient (Rp. 13,000 or USD 1 per month). Despite her low income, Mama Kogoya (the main character in the film) was able to send her eight children to school as scholars. Mama is quite proud of her first child, who currently serves as the head of the health clinic in Makki district, Lanny Jaya Regency (Papua).
